About the APA
APA is an animal-welfare charity awaiting nonprofit status. We are located in Las Cruces, NM, but our services are offered to all those in Dona Ana County. Our goals and objectives are as follows:
- Positive humane outreach & education
- Assistance for pets and their guardians in times of need
- Programs that target the most urgent animal-welfare challenges in our community
- Services & support that make it easier for pet guardians to do the right thing multiple lifesaving programs/efforts
APA appreciates food and monetary donations; our supplies are running low. We are also looking for assistance from large groups or businesses that can run a one-time, in-house food drive on our behalf to help us keep the program going until we can tap into national resources for food.
Food donation bins are located at these locations in the city; we are in most need of dry food for cats and dogs, but we also accept can food, treats, and other pet items (new and used). We are also in need of donated used cell phones.
