6th Annual Mulligans Fore Mutts Golf Tournament

2018_MulligansForeMutts_flyer_itr-smallerIf you enjoy golf and would like to help homeless animals, don’t miss the Mulligans Fore Mutts Golf Tournament Saturday, July 28. The four-person scramble begins with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at Picacho Hills Country Club, located at 6861 Via Campestre.

The fundraiser benefits ACTion Programs for Animals in its effort to rescue dogs and cats and to help the community reach its No Kill goal as soon as possible.

The deadline for teams to register is Wednesday, July 25. The entry fee is $500 for a four-member team or $125 for an individual. The tournament will also have a $10,000 putting contest.

Rich Fisher, APA volunteer and Mulligans Fore Mutts coordinator, said the sixth annual tournament should be a memorable event, and there are still many opportunities to get involved.

“In addition to golfing, we have plenty of opportunities for people to volunteer at the event,” Fisher said. “The wonderful thing about this tournament is that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to ACTion Programs for Animals, a nonprofit that is constantly working to find homes for animals and to educate the public about the importance of spaying, neutering and vaccinating pets.”

To sign up as a golfer, volunteer or sponsor, please contact Fisher at 575-373-0159 or fishyankees@sbcglobal.net. Follow the event on Facebook @mulligansforemutts.

About ACTion Programs for Animals
APA is a progressive animal welfare organization seeking to improve the quality of life for companion animals in Dona Ana County and greatly reduce the number of unwanted animals impounded and euthanized at the municipal shelter. Since May 2012, more than 3,500 animals have been rescued. The majority of these have been dogs and cats/kittens pulled from our municipal shelter. They are able to do this through volunteer work of rescue/foster coordinators, foster families, weekend adoptions, and donations.  For more information about APA, email mail@apalascruces.org, call 575-644-0505 or visit www.actionprogramsforanimals.org. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The adoption center is located at 800 W. Picacho.
